Buerger’s disease is an inflammation of small and medium sized blood vessels. The blood vessels can get swollen up and can get blocked with blood clots (thrombi). It can involve any artery but usually the blockages in this condition take place in the arteries of the feet and hands. This would lead to pain and tissue damage.
